A Friends & Family Weekend

I’m kicking off the outdoor edition of Citified Country Girl with the first camping trip of the season. Andrew and I spent this past Memorial day weekend enjoying the outdoors with friends and family. Despite the earlier snow storm in the beginning of the week.

Pinecone

Andrew and I packed his truck to the brim with our camping gear then headed for the mountains.

Fair warning, we are not campsite campers! No offence to anyone that is because camping in a designated campsite is just as much fun and very convenient for many people. But not for us, we like to go off the beaten path…wonder into desolation wilderness.

Water Dog

By midmorning we settled on a sandy beach, feet from an ice cold stream.

That spot looks good!

The afternoon rolled around, my dad arrived and for some reason he couldn’t decide what side of the beach he wanted to call home.

Dig Dig, Sniff Sniff!

Gauge loves water-logged sticks.

The remainder of the weekend consisted of digging, chewing, and snacking on food and treats.

Marshmellows by the fire Shh, Bodie's sleeping

And some sleeping too!

How did you spend your extended weekend?

Great shots! I hope to do some camping this year. I am glad to know that this is not the only place in the world that was still seeing snow a few weeks ago. Sometimes I think I am crazy for living at such a high altitude.

You're making me itch to camp. We haven't gone since my first daughter was born 2 years ago, but I think this summer we may try it...after a trial run in the back yard!

Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest!

Wow, you are a much braver soul than I! I am definitely not one for camping, even if it were in an RV! LOL! I don't like to sweat, I don't like to be cold and I really, really don't like bugs. I'll take a 4-star hotel, thankyouverymuch! HAHA!

Hi, I'm stopping by from SITS. I wanted to say hello and share some comment lo♥e. I really love your blog so I just became your newest Follower. I would really like it if you would take a minute to check out my blog and follow me, too, if you like what you see.

I hope you are having a really wonderful weekend!

HAPPY SITS SATURDAY SHAREFEST!

Blessings,

Teresa <><

Nice pictures! I love the header on your blog, it's very well-designed. How do you fare in the city? I don't think I could make it!! I need heavy doses of nature.

Thank you for commenting!

Mrs Lisa its funny that you comment on my header. Because I'm currently trying to re-do the design. :) Of course I'm keeping all the same components!

Thank you for reading.
